1. Clean Faucet and Shower Heads

Mineral and gunk build is unavoidable over time when it comes to you shower and faucet heads. You can scrub them with cleaning solution and usually that will do the trick. If not, then you will have to break out the big guns. Put vinegar, baking soda, and hot water in a bucket to soak them in. If need be, you can disassemble the heads, but make sure you follow the instructions from the manufacture.

3. Check For Leaks

Even a hole the size of a pin can cause serious long term problems for your entire plumbing system. It is always good to go around to all your visible pipes and check for any moisture.

2. Empty and clean your traps

The pipe underneath your sink shaped either like a P, S, or U catches a lot of objects and materials that go down the drain. These should be emptied regularly. If not, this could clogged your sink and you will have draining problems. If left unemptied long enough, it could end in damaged pipe that will need to be replaced.

If you are ever unsure of any of this you can always call your local plumber! Royal Flush Plumbing is you neighborhood plumber and we are always around.
